My
first guitar was a Harmony, my second a Martin. I built my first Telecaster from
scratch at 15. The next one I built was based on a Rickenbacker 12-string
design but with bigger horns and D'Armond pickups. I still have the
"Tele" out in the barn somewhere but unfortunately the "Rick"
was lost in a garage sale while
I was in college. I also helped start up a major guitar company.
All in all I've been building guitars and pickups
for about 35 years. I'm picky and patient, working alone and
making everything by hand.
I use parts that are too expensive for mass manufacturers and techniques
their designers overlook. Many of my improvements are proprietary, developed
after much time and experimentation. Since those techniques can't be
mechanized you probably won't ever see my work in a catalog.

and played regularly. In the coming months I expect to be adding
other sections, sound files and more pictures and products.
I hope this site becomes a way to bring good things to
